Coupons

ways to organize your coupons

There are several ways to organize your coupons.

1. Keep the inserts together and write the Sunday date on it..
With this option you can put them in a file folders, page protectors and put in a binder. No cutting until you need that coupon.
2. Baseball holders put in a binder and put it by sections of the layout of the store. You would cut all of your coupons out.
3. In a shoe box type box with sections or ABC order.  You would cut all your coupons out.

You do not want your coupons just laying around with out some sort of order.  Don't be afraid to try different ways of keeping your coupons.   I have tried all of these.  The one I use know is the page protectors with a binder.  I put each page in a page protector but I keep them in sections by redplum, smartsource, and P & G and then have the Sunday date on it.  There are websites that I use to get a list of what is on sale at each store and it tells me which coupons that are out there for it.  So I know where to look for that coupon and don't have to go searching for it.  The next best one I like is if I had alot of time to go shopping and look for clearance deals or unadvertisement deals is the shoe box method.  I have tried the baseball cards and always ending up quiting because it seems like to much work and you have to fold your coupons.  With folding the coupons you can't always see the product or the expiration date.  Some people like this option though.  You have to figure out what is best for you.  My biggest problem with keeping coupons is if you don't cut them all out and what until you know you are going to need them for the shopping trip you are fixing to do.  You cut them out and then when you get to the store they are out of the products so now you have loose coupons.  What do you do with them then?  You can keep them in a small file folder and put them in sections or what I am doing know is I don't cut them out until I get to the store and see that they have the item.

I hope this helps someone to organize their coupons and not to be afraid to try different ways.

Finding coupons

I want to let you know where I find my coupons.

newspapers-subscribe to several issues and different areas, get them from family and friends
magazines- the best one is ALL YOU
online-companies websites and facebook
stores-they have them hanging on shelfs and people lay them down.
reciepts-when you check out sometimes it prints coupons off
Everywhere you are at look for coupons laying around.  My grandmother found two or three envolopes of coupons laying at her doctors office and bought them to me.
Freecycle or craiglist.
Clipping Services

I have a facebook page called Fadeley's Couponing in TN where I put all the coupons I find on online there.

Getting things in order for my first coupon class

I am trying to think of everything I need to go over for my first coupon class on July 8.  I am so excited.

Some of the things that I know I want to go over are the following:
coupon policy for the stores in our area
different ways to save your coupons
budget for couponing
where to get your coupons
different types of coupons and how to use them

My coupon classes that I am trying to have are kind like you would think of a tupperware party.  The hostees would provide drinks and snacks.  It would be $5 per person to cover material fees (hostees would be free).  I want a more relaxed atmosphere and would like it to be least then 10 people so that I can pay attention to each one and answer everyone questions.  There will be some giveways too.

If you have any suggestions or questions about couponing please send them to me.
